AREA GOLF

Crossville, Fairfield Glade and Cumberland County

 

With a dozen golf courses, Crossville is known as “The Golf Capital of Tennessee.” Fairfield Glade boasts 90 holes of golf in just their area alone. We are also home to the first site of Jack Nicklaus' Bear Trace at Cumberland Mountain State Park and home to a total of ten championship golf courses. In all, there are over 200 holes atop the Cumberland Plateau.

The Bear Trace: The Bear Trace at Cumberland Mountain is one of the highest rated among the five Jack Nicklaus designed Bear Trace courses in Tennessee. The 6,900-yard (gold tees), par 72 layout features elevation changes as well as natural features.


 

Lake Tansi Village: The Lake Tansi golf course, one of the top-rated courses in the state, hosts several Tennessee section PGA events. It is not extremely long, but it puts a premium on accuracy off the tee. Gently rolling fairways and  tiered greens.


 

Fairfield Glade/ Stonehenge: Spectacular mountain golf! Nestled in the beautiful Cumberland Mtns you will find the #1 Resort Course in Tennessee. Stonehenge features a world-class golf course, a beautiful clubhouse and excellent dining.


 

Fairfield Glade/ Dorchester: Dorchester Country Club is an 18-hole course featuring Bentgrass tees and greens. The tree lined fairways are narrow, requiring precision shot-making off the tees. Many water hazards and strategically placed sand traps.


 

Fairfield Glade/ Druid Hills: Druid Hills Country Club  is a scenic course providing great views of the surrounding mountains. Manicured, rolling fairways challenge the golfer with plenty of water and strategically placed trees. Bent grass greens.


 

Fairfield Glade/ Heatherhurst: Heatherhurst boasts two beautiful 18-hole courses (The Brae and The Crag). Undulating fairways and encroaching bunkers guarantee a challenging and scenic round. Rated 4 stars, 2000 Golf Digests Places to Play.


 

Four Seasons Lighted Par 3 & Driving Range: 18 hole, Par 3 lighted golf course & driving range. The holes range from 80 yds to 191 yds. 350 yard driving range includes covered stalls for practicing in all types of weather year round off mats or grass.

River Run Golf Club: The Cumberland Plateau and world-class golf are synonymous. Created by the acclaimed architect, Ron Garl, , River Run is a beautiful championship course with driving range, chipping area and practice bunker.


 

Mountain Ridge Golf Club: Very golfer-friendly because of its medium length and generous fairways. A perfect course for those just taking up golf but challenging for the experienced players. The signature hole is #14, with picturesque mountain views.
